Information Communication Technologies are technologies that provide information through telecommunications. They include the Internet, wireless networks, cellphones, etc. ICT’s are used in different areas like education, business, home, etc.
Banks use a lot of Ict's to work perfectly and have an organized and good communication inside the program.
Banks use mainframe computers to maintain their customer accounts by dealing with transactions generated as a result of withdrawals and deposits. It also operates a network of automated teller machines or ATMs that are used to withdraw cash, check an account balance, order a statement, order a cheque book etc. ATM’s work as multi-access terminals and this allows several people to simultaneously connect to a central computer without being aware of each other.
With ATM’s, banks can keep their operating costs down, customers have 24/7 access to their account, there’s no need to carry large amounts of cash around.
My conclusion about ICT’s is that they are very nessesary in today’s world. ICT’s include the Internet and almost everyone uses the internet to do everything. Without ICT’s, the world would be very primitive.
